Robert ("Bobby") S. Glenn, Jr. is a partner in the
firm, and has been practicing law in Savannah since 1976. Mr. Glenn
concentrates his practice on Admiralty and Maritime Law, Construction
Litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has extensive
experience handling maritime disputes including cargo cases, personal injury
and property damage cases, maritime lien issues, arrests and attachments,
recreational boating, marine construction cases, commercial disputes, and
insurance coverage cases. In his construction practice, Mr. Glenn represents
owners, general contractors and sureties in industrial, commercial, and residential cases.
Mr. Glenn is also an experienced certified mediator who handles mediations and
arbitrations both independently and for various national providers. He was
certified as a Mediator by The Association of Attorney Mediators, Inc. in 1993
and has handled over 1,000 mediations and arbitrations from Puerto Rico to Maine.
Mr. Glenn has been a frequent speaker at seminars and a presenter at meetings on
various maritime law, construction and ADR topics.
Mr. Glenn is a member of the Savannah Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the
American Bar Association and its Forum on the Construction Industry, and the
Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute (Chairman, 1986). He is a member of the
Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution and a Fellow of the American College of
Civil Trial Mediators. He is a past chairman of the Admiralty Committee of the
TIPS section of the ABA. Mr. Glenn is a member of the Maritime Law Association
of the United States and served as a member of its Board of Directors from 2002 to
2005. He is a member of the MLA’s Maritime Arbitration and Mediation Committee,
have previously served as Chairman of the ADR Committee. He is a past Chairman of
the ADR Section of the State Bar of Georgia. He is a Member of the Board of Advisors
of the Charleston Maritime Law Institute. In 2009, Mr. Glenn served as a Judge and
Mediator for the International Chamber of Commerce Mediation Competition in Paris.
Mr. Glenn is listed on the panels of numerous ADR providers, including: AAA, JAMS, and
Resolute Systems. He is on the Executive Committee of the Maritime Arbitration Association
of the United States.
He received a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Princeton University in 1972, and a
Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia in 1976.
